IAA Medical is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information that the organisation collects, holds and administers. Personal information is information that directly or indirectly identifies a person.

How can you access and correct your personal information?

IAA Medical Pty Ltd will take reasonable steps to ensure the information we collect is accurate, complete, up to date, and relevant to the functions we perform. IAA Medical Pty Ltd will ensure individuals have a right to seek access to information held about them and to correct it if it is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading or not up to date.

What is the process for complaining about a breach of privacy?

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personal identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our policies, or protect ours or others rights, property or safety. However, non-personally identifiable information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising or other uses.

IAA Medical Pty Ltd can release information to third parties where it is requested by the person concerned.

IAA Medical Pty Ltd does not disclose personal information to overseas recipients except to trusted third parties as outlined above who assist us in conducting our business.

Marketing

IAA Medical Pty Ltd may send you direct marketing communications and information about our organisation and services that we consider may be of interest to you. We do not provide your personal information to other organisations for the purposes of direct marketing

Consent & Rights

Consent can be expressed or implied and is determined upon the following factors:

  • you, the individual have been adequately informed
  • you, the individual have given your consent voluntarily
  • the consent you the individual are giving is current and specific, and
  • you, the individual have the capacity to understand and communicate your consent.

By giving us your information, you are consenting to our Privacy Policy.

Anonymity

IAA Medical Pty Ltd will generally provide individuals with the option of not identifying themselves when contacting us or obtaining services or assistance from us unless we are authorised by law not to do so or it is impracticable for us to deal with individuals who have not identified themselves or have used a pseudonym (in such circumstances we will only obtain as much personal information as is necessary to provide you with the service or assistance you require). If we do not have your personal information then we may be limited in our ability to provide you with the services or assistance or advise you of information relating to our operations and the activities we carry out.

IAA Medical Pty Ltd will take reasonable steps to ensure your personal information is protected from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We may hold your information in either electronic or hard copy form. Personal information is destroyed or de-identified when no longer needed.

As our website is linked to the internet, and the internet is inherently insecure, we cannot provide any assurance regarding the security of transmission of information you communicate to us online. We also cannot guarantee that the information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted over the internet. Accordingly, any personal information or other information which you transmit to us online is transmitted at your own risk.
